This decanter requires a considerable amount of dilution water to achieve high separation accuracy. In olive oil production, these decanters also treat wastewater, reducing its volume and COD value, thereby enhancing oil yield by up to 0.5 percent relative to the quantity of olives processed. The GEA cetec technology incorporated offers an additional 1-2 percent yield in olive oil recovery.
