The PepperCorer PC-55 from Sormac is a specialized system designed for the precise coring, decoring, and segmenting of bell peppers. This system utilizes pneumatically controlled clamping arms to hold and rotate the peppers through various processing stations. The first station removes the stalk, while the second decores the pepper and eliminates core seeds using a vacuum unit. Optional stations include horizontal slicing to cap and cut the peppers at pre-set distances and segmenting for customizable sectioning. The PepperCorer can handle peppers ranging from 70 to 150 mm in length and 60 to 115 mm in diameter, supporting various classes of bell peppers. With a maximum capacity of 55 pieces per minute, its performance is influenced by the operator’s skill level.
