Vertical slicer for tobacco bales

In tobacco processing, achieving a consistent mass flow delivery to the conditioning cylinder is crucial. Challenges include handling various bale formats and maintaining uniform slices to optimize further processing stages.

Precisely slice and portion tobacco bales

The COMAS Vertical Slicer (SVBM) is designed to handle different types of tobacco bales, including small Hessian, C48, Tersa, and Hogshead, ensuring uniform slice production. This slicer can process up to 11,000 kg/h of tobacco strips. The slice thickness is adjustable through the control system (HMI), allowing you to select the optimal number of slices per bale based on tobacco type and bale compaction. This facilitates optimal product opening and conditioning in the Direct Conditioning Cylinder (DCC). Additionally, the system’s continuous weigh belt ensures precise mass flow delivery. COMAS Italy, part of the Coesia Group, supplies this high-capacity, adjustable slicer.
