The Alfa Laval ALDEC decanter centrifuge is specially designed for the sludge thickening and dewatering process in both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. It operates using a horizontal cylindrical bowl equipped with a screw conveyor, which facilitates separation by generating centrifugal forces. This process results in the sedimentation of solids on the bowl’s walls. The ALDEC centrifuge’s compact, modular design ensures a high throughput within a small footprint. Its wear-resistant construction, low energy consumption, and fully enclosed cleaning-in-place (CIP) system contribute to minimal maintenance requirements, making it a cost-effective solution.
