Sludge thickeners for wastewater treatment plants
Municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants need efficient methods to manage and reduce the water content in sludge. Removing excess water from sludge is critical to minimize the volume and improve the management process.

Thicken sludge efficiently with minimal energy consumption
The ISP Sludge Thickener by WAMGROUP is designed to thicken sludge from settling tanks in wastewater treatment facilities. This system uses slow-moving arms and vertical pickets to increase sludge concentration, while also liberating gas bubbles and aggregating flakes. Installed inside a circular tank, it features a central drive shaft made of steel, connected to movable trellis and scraper blades. The central cylinder handles sewage intake and is anchored to the concrete walkway. A drive unit with an epicycloid oil bath gearbox powers the thickener. It is coupled to the drive shaft via a flange or a central bearing for tanks over 12 meters in diameter. The ISP Sludge Thickener is available for tanks up to 18 meters in diameter and can be constructed from hot dip-galvanized carbon steel, 304 L, or 316 L stainless steel.
