Peripheral traction clarifiers for waste water treatment

In both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, the removal of biological sludge and floating particles from primary and secondary settling tanks is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency. Ineffective clarification can lead to blockages, reduced flow rates, and regulatory non-compliance.

Remove sludge and floating particles effectively

The PTP Peripheral Traction Clarifier from WAMGROUP is a solution for removing biological sludge and floating particles in circular primary and secondary settlement tanks. Ideal for both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, it operates through a rotating central support and traction trolley mechanism. Wastewater enters the concrete tank via a cylinder that spreads the liquid, allowing sludge to settle at the bottom and scum to float to the surface. The moving truck’s bottom scrapers gather settled sludge into the central sump pit, while a surface scraper directs floating particles to a scum box. Clean water is then channeled into the launder through Thomson profile weirs. This clarifier supports tanks up to 60m in diameter and offers features like a scum removal device and construction options in hot dip-galvanised carbon steel, 304L, or 316L stainless steel.
