Laboratory chamber furnace for thermogravimetric analysis
In laboratories conducting precise thermogravimetric analysis or determining loss on ignition, it is crucial to have a reliable heating source that can maintain consistent temperatures and accurately measure sample weight changes throughout the heating process.
Measure weight changes during high-temperature analysis
The CWF range by Carbolite Gero offers bench-mounted general-purpose laboratory chamber furnaces that cater to various high-temperature applications. With maximum operating temperatures of 1100°C, 1200°C, and 1300°C and available in five chamber sizes (5, 13, 23, 36, or 65 liters), these furnaces can meet a broad range of requirements. The CWF-B models feature additional air inlet holes in the door and a tall chimney for enhanced airflow, quickly removing fumes. The CWF-BAL model, integrated with a balance, supports thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and loss on ignition (LOI) applications by monitoring the sample’s weight change during heating. This model is essential for analyzing inorganic content in materials like cement, lime, and calcinated bauxite. Notable features include a Carbolite Gero 301 controller for the CWF and CWF-B models, while the CWF-BAL uses a 3216CC controller, both offering single ramp to set-point and process timer functions. Enhanced airflow and energy-efficient insulation make these furnaces effective and safe, providing precise results with minimum operator exposure to heated surfaces.
