Users operate the system through an intuitive touch-screen interface, allowing easy adjustment of parameters. The Qetch 1000 separates the polishing and etching unit from the control unit, enabling versatile placement, including lab fume cabinets if needed. A scan function displays the current voltage curve, providing rapid polishing results without altering the sample’s structure. Interchangeable 1-liter electrolytic tanks facilitate quick changes of different electrolytes and easy storage with lids. Additionally, the unit can be cleaned with a water-based washing program to maintain hygiene.
