Collaborative robot for precision assembly tasks

In assembly lines and production facilities, sensitive and precise operations often require human workers and robots to collaborate closely without the risk of injuries. This creates challenges in handling delicate components and maintaining high levels of accuracy under tight time constraints.

Enhances productivity and safety in collaborative environments

The LBR iiwa by KUKA is a lightweight, sensitive robot designed for close collaboration with human operators in delicate assembly tasks. It features joint torque sensors in all seven axes, allowing it to detect contact immediately and adjust its force and speed accordingly to prevent accidents. The LBR iiwa offers precise position and compliance control, enabling it to handle delicate components with high accuracy and minimal risk of damage. It is available in two versions with payload capacities of 7 kg and 14 kg, and it has a reach of 800 mm to 820 mm. The robot is equipped with the KUKA Sunrise Cabinet controller, simplifying the startup of complex applications. Suitable for use in standard and cleanroom environments, the LBR iiwa supports installation in ceiling, floor, and wall positions and boasts an IP 54 protection class rating.
