For edible oil bottling lines, the optimizations most requested by the customer in recent times have been:

- To reduce change-over times
- To reduce the time and lessen the waste of oil when changing product
To reduce the floor space, Foodtech Machines is working to provide compact system solutions, integrating systems in a monoblock – for example, unscrambler combined with labeller and filler for the wet part – wraparound packer with robot palletiser or conventional palletiser for the dry part.
To reduce change-over time, in addition to having quick tool-free bottle size changes, in the last periodFoodtech Machines has focused on simplifying the cap format change. Customers say this is the area where they definitely lose more time and also where greater operator safety is required. When a line is required to run with more than one cap type, the ideal location for the cap distributor is at ground level so as to facilitate the intervention by the operator. This also helps to reduce a good percentage of change-over time. Other solutions can be designed to suit the specific needs of the customer.
For product changes, Foodtech Machines has introduced a system of internal washing with high-pressure turbines wich allows a very effective cleaning of the header tank, in contrast to that obtained with previous solutions. For example, using the new system with a filler of average diameter, only about 70 litres of the product is wasted, compared to the 500 litres wasted in the classic method.
